Rolls-Royce unveils its first electric car, the Spectre

The British brand's entry into electric vehicles marks the start of a new chapter in the company's story, as it expects to convert all of its cars to electric vehicles by 2030.

Rolls-Royce hasn't revealed the specs of its Spectre EV, though it's in the final stages of testing, but preliminary figures suggest it can travel 520km/h and 97km/h on a single charge in 4.4 seconds.

Speaking at the awards ceremony, Rolls-Royce chief executive Torsten Mueller-Otworth said: "What you see next to me is the Ghost Rolls-Royce, the first all-electric car in history. .We have been working on this project for a long time and now we are in the final stage where we have the technology to allow the car to charge autonomously for a distance of 520 km.

The Spectre's all-aluminum frame integrates the battery into the body, making it 30 percent stronger than any previous Rolls-Royce.
Rolls-Royce will begin testing the Spectre in September/September 2021, with the company confirming it has tested the car extensively for 2.5 million kilometers.

However, the launch of the new car comes amid a cost of living crisis in the UK and much of the world.
According to Rolls-Royce, the design of the two-door sports car was inspired by nautical design and contemporary art, but automotive journalist Nick Myers had his own ideas: "It's definitely a mix of traditional Rolls-Royce and modern design, "He says.

Rolls-Royce aims to deliver the first Spectre models to customers in the last quarter of 2023. The company has yet to announce official pricing.
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, a subsidiary of the BMW Group, employs more than 2,000 people at its headquarters in Goodwood, southern England.

Chevrolet Traverse RS 2022 Revamped Review

The Traverse seats seven and is available with a third-row option. Like other mid-size SUVs, the Traverse offers five seating positions: captain's chairs up front and three rows of seats out back. Trunk space measures in at 24 cubic feet, which is a little small compared with some of the competition, but it still offers more than the Kia Telluride.

The 2022 Chevrolet Traverse has a bold look inside and out. The interior is spacious and comfortable, with a powerful touchscreen interface. In typical Chevy fashion, the mid-size newcomer features a sleek exterior with muscular lines—the highlight being its rear tailgate, which is emblazoned with the brand's bow-tie logo. The SUV also comes standard with a 360-degree camera system that allows for easier parking in tight spaces.

Although the Traverse comes with a 3.6L V6 engine, the optional turbocharged 2.0-liter I4 boasts impressive power as well: 306 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque. Expect the SUV to start at about $40,000 and run up to $60,000 or more. The Traverse is an appealing option for families looking for a mid-size crossover SUV with lots of style and space.
