SSC Tuatara.. the fastest car in the world

Giants always compete for the title of the fastest car in the world, but the SSC Tuatara won the title not because it managed to break the record, but because it beat itself by breaking its own record, to be the fastest supercar twice in a row, one year apart.

SSC Tuatara Specifications:

The Tuatara is the result of a collaboration between super sports car design and development company SSC and famous car designer Jason Castriota, who previously worked on iconic and famous cars such as the Ferrari P4/5, 599 Ferrari, 612 Kappa, GranTurismo from Maserati and Hyperion from Rolls-Royce,  And all of them are supercars, one of the fastest cars in the world.

The development of the Tuatara car took about ten years, as it first appeared in 2011 in the form of a new concept, and work continued on it for seven years until August 2018, when the first prototype appeared, and then it was officially launched in 2020 to break previous records for supercars.

Despite the slight differences between the prototype and the final version of the Tuatara, they are similar in design outlines and basic touches, as the final version of the car retained the distinctive V-shaped front, along with headlights with an unconventional design, and the shape of the front air vent with short wings  that extends slightly to cover part of the rear hatch.

The final design of the car came with a larger number of air vents as well as small wings in the lower part of the car in order to improve the aerodynamic advantages in it.

It is worth noting that the SSC company paid a lot of attention to the aerodynamics and the final weight of this vehicle, as it was planning from the beginning to make it the fastest car in the world, so the exterior structure was designed entirely of carbon fiber with glossy touches to give an aesthetic character to its design, along with a set of small wings  Carefully distributed around the rear and body of the vehicle so it can better handle the air pressure at higher speeds.

Breaking records :

The Tuatara's supercar crash was controversial.  In February 2020, SCC claimed that it was able to break the record and reach a speed of 508 km / h, and this was the result of two experiments to break the record, in the first of which the car reached 484 km / h and in a second to 532 km / h.

But this did not convince many car enthusiasts around the world, which led them to doubt this matter until the company retracted it, saying that it was a malfunction in the external accelerometers it used.

But SCC's attempts to break the record did not stop, as it repeated the ball again in October of the same year, but this time in the presence of a group of car experts and journalists around the world, and this time its car managed to reach a speed of 450 km / h, breaking the record  For the Agera RS, which had achieved a speed of 445 km/h.

Although it was able to break the record for a competing car, this was not enough for SCC, which was confident in its car and its ability to break the speed barrier of 480 km / h to become the fastest car in the world, so it tried again in May 2022 in the presence of a group of  Senior visitors such as company CEO Jerrod Shelby and racing expert Mitchell Townsend also used a combination of state-of-the-art hardware and VBOX GNSS radars to collect data and track speed.

Mercedes based the Exelero on the Maybach’s frame and equipped it with the same twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 690 horsepower (510 kW) and 1,020 Newton-metres (752 pound-feet) of torque. This supercar is carefully and flawlessly engineered to prevent aerodynamic stress. As a result, it will be able to achieve its aim with the greatest efficacy and efficiency possible. The supercar is priced at $8 million but today it would cost more than $10 million.

10.2022 Ford Explorer Hybrid

11.2022 Ford Escape Hybrid

12.2022 Kia Niro

13.2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid

Maserati MC20 2022

The new MC20 from Maserati is an official testament to the Italian company's racing and design prowess.  The soul of the new car is its 621bhp, six-cylinder engine that catapults the 1,500kg supercar from zero to 100km/h in less than 2.9 seconds on its way to a top speed of 325 km/h.

The car features doors that open at the top and give an unforgettable entrance into the car, while two 10-inch screens decorate the driver-centric interior design.  The new car will arrive at Maserati dealerships this fall, with a starting price of about $210,000.

2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid

In a world where compact SUVs remain the bestselling vehicles on the market, the hybrid niche of these compact SUVs is maybe even hotter—especially given today's sky-high gas prices. The 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid enters the market at a time when other automakers have already launched hybrid variants of their compact crossovers. But the Sportage Hybrid finds a way to be different from the rest with its bold styling and best-in-class fuel economy for the front-drive model—plus, this Kia also has a lower starting price.

Jumping to the all-wheel-drive variant will increase the price and lower the mpg numbers, but the Sportage Hybrid is better than the regular variant, delivering more power and drinking less gas for only a small premium of between $900 and $1,300.

Regardless of the trim, all Sportage Hybrids are powered by a 1.6-liter turbo-four engine mated to a 44-kW electric motor to deliver 227 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. The base LX trim sends all that power to the front wheels, but an all-wheel-drive system on EX and SX-Prestige trims can split the power between the front and rear axle when needed.

Like we said before, the LX gets bragging rights for its fuel economy, delivering EPA ratings of 42/44/43 mpg in city/highway/combined driving thanks to its front-drive setup. EX and SX-Prestige models aren't too far off, as they are rated for 38/38/38 mpg. Although the AWD numbers aren't class-leading, they are competitive.

All in all, this is exactly why you should get the Sportage Hybrid over the regular model. You'll be able to make up for the price premium at the pump, and you'll enjoy more performance behind the wheel.

The 2023 Kia Sportage Hybrid delivers strong, smooth acceleration, with the electric motor administering instant torque that's quickly augmented by the turbo's power. The result is a robust punch when rolling from a stop.

Best sedans 2022

The names of the best sedans include many models and these models have a comfortable driving style and value that makes them the best alternatives to many new SUVs is the technology they include

While they may not always be the most stylish of options, they can be comfortable and practical and come in sizes ranging from petite to full size, and there are plenty of options in the category

Hyundai Elantra N 2022

Hyundai's approach to development that basically consists of hunting down the best and brightest engineers and designers at BMW is paying off for the automaker and the Elantra is a great car, but if you want some real excitement in your life the N-badged version is a great performer

Its 2.0-liter 276-hp engine is delivered urgently, bolstered by 289 lb-ft of torque, the suspension tuned, the electronic limited-slip differential added, the brakes are ridiculously good, and the end result is that the Elantra N has the ability to get around corners way faster than ever.   You expect and at a price that just helps keep a smile on your face and has the option of a manual transmission

Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing 2022

The CT5-V Blackwing is an absolute beast of sedans, but it's also going to be under-exposure and probably the last supercharged V8 we'll see from Cadillac. However, it does get a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 that produces 668 horsepower and 659 pound-feet of torque.  And unlike the German M4 and M5, it works with rear-wheel drive only

The CT5-V Blackwing's engine will hit 60 mph in 3.4 seconds with the automatic transmission installed and unrestricted to top speed, and Cadillac won't tell its exact top speed

Honda Civic

The humble Honda Civic has blossomed into a desirable compact car and is fun to drive. The Civic is available as either a practical sedan or hatchback, and is powered by your choice of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 158 horsepower or a turbocharged 1.5-liter 174 or 180 horsepower, depending on the model

Honda is loading its smallest cars with many standard driver assistance features, including automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist

Oddly enough, modern infotainment features aren't standard. The base LX model comes with a tiny touchscreen that provides tuning for the radio and nothing else, and despite the base model, the Civic is a compact car that should satisfy most buyers

Mercedes-Benz EQS 2022

If you want a Mercedes S-Class with all its luxury and technology but never want to visit a gas station again, you want a Mercedes-Benz EQS and like the S-Class it has the same Mercedes truck that should be registered as a brand until now, and is powered by two electric motors They produce 516 horsepower and 631 lb-ft between them

However, the list of tech is mind-boggling, and highlights for us include the rear axle steering system that makes the long-chuck sedan like a compact car, a 56-inch screen inside, a Burmester 3D surround sound system, and an optional augmented reality display. It starts at $102,310 , which is lower than class S

Audi RS3 2022

The new 2022 A3 sedan reaches a slightly wider and slightly longer range with upgraded technology, greater efficiency under the hood and a full-blown yaw in design. The entry-level RS model carries a 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine producing 394 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque that comes all the way through. It clicks at 2250 rpm and stays there until 5600 rpm

to 62 mph takes 3.8 seconds and the chassis can be upgraded with the RS Dynamic package (including drift mode) and ceramic brakes, plus adaptive suspension with active dampers and the compact ballistic performance market is small and all German not to mention primarily made up of Mercedes-AMG. CLA 45 which we don't think looks good anywhere
